I met Jack when I lived in Kansas City. We lived in the same apartment complex. During our friendship, we enjoyed attending Dinner Theater and Broadway plays together.  I worked at a local TV station and he once worked in radio broadcast. We would also like to go out, have a few drinks, and flirt with pretty women 😁. I will always have fond memories of him. RIP Johnny Mac.


Memory #1
When I was in my early and somewhat awkward teen years I was walking into church with my mother one Sunday morning. I suddenly heard a low "wolf whistle" and somebody whispered "Look who's turned into a beauty!" behind me.  Turning around I was greeted by my favorite cousin, Jack McCall! Home for the week-end from college there he was....as usual handsome, fun-loving, kind and always affirming.  That's how I remember Jack growing up.  As adults our paths rarely crossed except at family gatherings, and I haven't seen him in eight years.  But the emails he would forward to me were always funny, poignant,  compassionate or politically indignant...true to his nature, I think.  Jack faced many challenges along life's way...some of them quite grievous...yet, by God's grace, he was an overcomer.  By Jack's expressed belief in Jesus Christ I believe he truly rests in peace!

Memory #2  Jack taught me and my sister how to make great water balloon bombs which we (mostly he:) aimed and fired from the balcony of my aunt and uncle's Plaza apartment :)

Memory #3  If you knew Jack even as a casual acquaintance then you would surely agree that he could talk your leg off on almost any subject :)
