John D. Newman

John Dotson Newman, 71, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away July 3, 2012 at Research Medical Center from a long illness. Burial will be in Owensboro, Kentucky. Friends may call Saturday, July 7 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 NE Vivion Road, Kansas City, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association or the Lymphoma Society.

John was born August 6, 1940 in Maysville, Kentucky. He grew up in Owensboro Kentucky. He was a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church. John graduated from Daviess County High School and later Western Kentucky University. He married Nancy Shuck in 1960. In 1980 John moved to Moberly, Missouri and worked for Associated Electric Cooperative Inc. from 1980 to 2000. He was a member of Rotary International and enjoyed many hobbies and cherished time with family and friends, especially his beloved granddaughter.

He is preceded in death by his father, J.F. Newman, Jr. & his sister Mary Ann Fourqurean. John is survived by his wife Nancy, daughter & son-in-law Evelyn & Kevin Clore, granddaughter Kate Clore, mother Evelyn Newman, sister & brother-in-law Marty & Freddie Craig & brother & sister-in-law Mark & Susan Newman, brother-in-law John Fourqurean, nieces & nephews; Liz Fourqurean, Perry & Tammy Fourqurean, David Fourqurean, Pam Craig, Amy Craig, Sarah Newman, Jack Newman & Catherine Newman, great nieces and nephews; John David Fourqurean, Ella Fourqurean, Ann Michael Hobgood, Natalie Hobgood, Kaylee Vittato, Addie Fourqurean & Anna Fourqurean.
