John Aldo Tuccillo, 71, of Raytown, Missouri passed away July 6, 2020 surrounded by his family after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia. Mass of Christian Burial will be at Nativity of Mary Catholic Church, 10017 E. 36th Terrace, Independence, on Friday, July 10, 2020, at 11am. Visitation will proceed Mass, starting at 9am. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
John was born January 18, 1949 in Kansas City, Missouri, to Aldo and Mickey (Sousley) Tuccillo. John graduated from DeLaSalle High School in 1967. John graduated with a degree in electrical engineering from Finley College. He worked his entire 40 year career at Black and Veatch in Overland Park, Kansas. John married his high school sweetheart Barbara Jo Lalumia. They celebrated 50 years November 1, 2019. The two had two children Angela Jo Cook and Lori Michele Janacaro. He was a member of Nativity Catholic Church. He was a third-degree honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus. John was a softball manager/coach for his children and grandchildren. He never missed a game and was their number one fan. He supported the grandkids no matter the activity - softball, baseball, basketball, tennis, swimming, dance, soccer and gymnastics.
John was preceded in death by his parents. He was survived by his loving wife of 50 years Barbara Jo (Lalumia) Tuccillo; daughters Angela Cook and husband John; Lori Janacaro and husband Joe; grandchildren Allie, Katie and Mikey Cook and Frankie and Haley Janacaro; sisters Sandra Lalumia and husband Anthony, Frannie Waterson and husband Don, Lu (Happy) Amaro and husband John, and Michelle Smith and husband Bryan; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family would like to thank Missouri Palliative Care and Hospice and his numerous caregivers. Memorial contribution suggested to reduce Nativity of Mary church debt.
