Grandpa, I am happy that you finally are at peace and that you are with grandma now. I am happy that you do not have to live in the pain and suffering that you have lived with for the last 4 years.  These last 4 years have taught me so many things about living and the way I plan to live my final days/years. I have missed you for the last 4 years and will always think of you and honor and cherish your memories. I miss playing cards with you and grandma.   I miss the yearly visits, the Christmas cards, the garden (and eating all of your grapes while you weren't looking).  Thanks for your service in the military.  I love you and hope that you have peace and happiness with grandma.

I am sorry to learn of your father's passing, Trudy, Mary Jo, Mike and family. I have many wonderful memories of spending time with all of you when we were growing up. I didn't know of your mother's passing and am saddened to learn of this also.  It has been years since we have been in contact and I hope that we can renew our long ago friendship when you feel readyI am living in the home that I grew up in once again, after being away so many years.

I feel so privileged & Honored to have had a grandfather that lived for 97 years. That survived threw a war for us. That shared his love and time with all of his family. He had a special relationship with each of his grandchildren and loved us all the same. I will forever remember, honor and love the memories I was able to make in the time I had with him. Grandpa I love you and let Grandma no we miss her everyday as well. Keep the cards shuffled and we will all be home to play another round of Chinese rummy together one day!!
