Joseph “Joey” Ramirez, born in Chicago, Illinois on May 2, 1967 passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2015. Joey graduated from Center High School in 1985, where he went on to marry his high school sweetheart Kerry (Sartory) Ramirez. They had two beautiful daughters, Kia and Tianna, and later welcomed their grandson Cannon. He was employed in the collision repair industry for over 25 years in the Greater Kansas City area while laying roots in Peculiar, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his father Jose Ramirez, his maternal grandfather and his fraternal grandparents. Survivors include his mother Luz (Torres) Floress and husband George, wife Kerry, daughters Kia and Tianna, grandson Cannon, brother Tony Ramirez and wife Anne, sister Mindy Ramirez-Setser and husband Scott, sister Deneen Burich and husband Kent of Illinois, nephews Joshua , Antonio, Dominic and Diego and niece Erica Tufo. He also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, cousins and many other that knew him as Papi.
A Memorial Visitation will be held Thursday, June 4, 2015 from 5:00-7:00p.m. at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer and Freeman Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated.
