

Red Mosier, 92, Kansas City, passed away peacefully on Jan. 21, 2018. Funeral services are Thursday, January 25 at McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 NE Vivion Road, Kansas City, MO. Visitation from 1:00 – 2:00, Funeral Service at 2:00, burial to follow at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery, 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, MO.
Red was born May 15, 1925 in Kansas City, MO to Clifford and Nellie (Hammond) Mosier. He served as a Navy Corpsman during World War II in the Pacific Theater, where he was a Purple Heart recipient.
In 1960, he married the former Elizabeth J. Peters and the two enjoyed 46 years together, until she passed in 2006. Red was a lifelong resident of the Kansas City area, except for his time in the military and a few years he spent in Saudi Arabia when he was on loan to Saudi Airlines from TWA. He was a staunch supporter of the churches he attended, the last being Trinity Christian Center.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife Elizabeth; and sons John Peters Mosier, Sr. and Mitchell Lee Mosier. Survivors include a son, Gene Harris Mosier and daughter, Grace Katherine Scott; grandchildren Minnie Jo Mosier, Sarabeth Elayne Mosier, John Peters Mosier, Jr., Jennifer Lynn Llamas and John William Scott; ten greatgrandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends.
