Joyce Hendrix-Kuchar, 71, of Overland Park, KS passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 20, 2024. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 26 at 11:00am at McGilley State Line Chapel, 12301 State Line Road, Kansas City, MO 64145. Lunch reception to follow.
Joyce was born on July 17, 1952 in Salina, KS to Lyle and Marjorie Fackler.
She received her law degree from University of Kansas and helped many people throughout her time as an attorney in Ottawa, KS.
Joyce will be remembered for her quick-wit and intelligence. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her four sons and grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, talking with her neighbors and spending time with her beloved dog Georgia.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Robert and Neal Fackler. She is survived by her loving sons: Benjamin Hendrix (Lauren), Andrew Hendrix (Meryl), William Hendrix (Samantha), and Nicholas Kuchar (Katelyn). She is also survived by her grandchildren: Harper, Jackson, Lincoln, and George.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to: Good Shepherd Hospice Center or Sarah Cannon Cancer Center of Overland Park.
