Julia López de Vallejos was the golden thread that connected not only many children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but also generations of nieces and nephews, godchildren and friends, all of whom she called mi hijo, mi hija, or compadre, comadre. Everyone was her son, her daughter or her life-long friend, and she remembered each and every one, never forgetting any connection, any birthday. Her love was far-reaching and her laughter pervasive. Remembering, today and always, the joy you brought us all, Julia López de Vallejos.
