June Elizabeth Fries, 80, Overland Park, Kansas, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 13, 2014. A celebration of life will be held at Mount Moriah & Freeman funeral home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri, with visitation at 6:30 pm, and service at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 23, 2014.
June was born August 4, 1934 in St. Louis, attended grade and high school there, and graduated from William Jewell College, Liberty, Missouri, in 1951. She taught elementary school in Denver and Kansas City.
June is survived by her husband, Jim; her son, Blake and his wife, Tracy; her daughter Dana Jackson and her husband, Matt; a granddaughter, Justin Teague and her husband, Josh; grandchildren Brooks, Lydia, Charlie and Nathan, and great-grandson Ayden.
