Kathryn Ann (Huisinga) Lockwood, 83, of Raytown, Missouri, went to be with her Lord January 25, 2018.
She was born February 1, 1934 in Freeport, Illinois. She married Bart Lockwood on January 21, 1972 and is survived by her husband Bart M. Lockwood of the home and her five children, Susan L. Owen of Fenton, Missouri, Mark Lockwood of Raytown, Missouri, Laura L. Carr of Paola, Kansas, Wendy L. Bowes of Pittsboro, Indiana, Phillip A. Lockwood of Independence, Missouri, thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Kathy was an artist, winning numerous awards for her paintings and she was a very accomplished seamstress. In the last few years she enjoyed making Teddy Bears. As a member of Kansas City Baptist Temple (Graceway) she was a discipler and spiritual mentor.
For the past 46 years she has been a wonderful wife and mother.
Visitation will be held from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Graceway Church, 5460 Blue Ridge Cutoff, Raytown, MO 64133. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm at Graceway Church, 5460 Blue Ridge Cutoff, Raytown, MO 64133. Private inurnment will be at Mount Moriah Cemetery South.
