

Kenneth Eugene Sanders, 84, of Kansas City, MO passed away at home June 18, 2012. A visitation will be held Thursday, June 21 at McGilley Antioch Chapel from 5-6 PM with a funeral service at 6 PM. There will be a visitation in Hannibal, MO at the Smith Funeral Home from 10-11 AM on Saturday June 23 with a graveside following at Big Creek Presbyterian Cemetery.
Kenneth was born June 23, 1927 in Hannibal, MO. He was employed by the C, B, & Q Railroad and Ford Motor Company as an electrician for over 50 years. He was a WWII veteran serving in the U.S. Navy, 121st Seabees and also was a Korean War veteran, serving aboard the USS Dixie-AD14. Kenneth was a member of Mystic Lodge #17, International Order of Odd fellows in Hannibal, MO and a 3rd Degree Master Mason in Ralls Lodge #33 Ancient Free and Accepted Masons, where he was a lifetime member. He was also a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Civil Air Patrol, Cubmaster of Pack 357 and Assistant Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 304.
Survivors include 3 sons; Ronald, Richard, and Wayne, 1 daughter; Katherine Smith, 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
