Services are 1:00 PM Tuesday, November 15th at the McGilley Antioch Chapel where a visitation will begin at 12:00 PM. Burial will be in Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to NorthCare Hospice House or a charity of choice.
Joan was born April 25, 1926 to Albert and Mary (McClaren) Messbarger in Burlington Junction, MO. Joan had lived in different areas of the world before moving to Kansas City more than 50 years ago. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Joan enjoyed working in her yard and tending to her tulips. Following retirement, Joan worked as a school bus driver for more than 30 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 50 years, Howard W. Squire in 2012, and was the last of 12 siblings.
Survivors include numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
