

Linda Sue McGee, 81 of Lee's Summit, Missouri began her new life in Heaven on December 17, 2024. Linda moved on peacefully surrounded by the love and comfort of two of her beloved granddaughters by her side. Linda was the daughter of Tom Murphy and Marilyn Price. She is survived by her dear brother and friend, Tom Murphy.
Linda was the proud mother of two sons, David Lee McGee and Scott Alan McGee. David and Scott provided Linda with the greatest joy of her life, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Linda was the epitome of love, generosity, and strength. She fiercely devoted herself to her family, especially her cherished grandchildren. Whether attending countless activities, cheering from the sidelines, or being their constant source of love and encouragement, she found immense joy in supporting their dreams and milestones. There wasn't anything more important than being with her family. Her home was always filled with the aroma of delicious meals, lovingly prepared for family, friends and neighbors. Cooking was her way of bringing people together and her kitchen was a haven of love and laughter and a place where memories were made with her family over the years.
An unwavering advocate for animal welfare, Linda dedicated much of her life to rescuing and caring for animals in need. Her passion for animal rescue was boundless, and her compassion left an indelible mark on countless furry friends who found refuge in her care over the years.
She was a one-of-a-kind woman with the most genuine heart for everyone she encountered. Linda faced life and all its challenges with a positive and resilient attitude. Her work ethic was second to none, often holding up to three jobs at a time. She taught her sons, David and Scott not to be afraid of working hard, but to embrace it. She was beyond proud of them, they were her pride and joy. Not only did Linda set an example for hard work and perseverance, but she also instilled traditions that have become the foundation for many family gatherings that will continue in her honor. Though she will be greatly missed, her spirit will live on through memories made and the laughter that her family will share as they recall countless stories she left to be told.
Linda's legacy will continue in the lives she touched with her kindness, devotion, fierce and unwavering love. Linda was small but she made a BIG impact on her family that will live on for generations to come.
