Linda was very active in her children’s lives. She was an awesome housewife that participated in most activities with them. She was known around the kid’s school as the “picture lady”. She would bring in Van Gogh, Michelangelo, Rembrandt, and other famous artists, to teach the kid’s about their life stories. She also was the room mother, school nurse, and even was the school librarian at one time. She enjoyed being around the school.
Linda enjoyed spending time with the grandbabies sharing her needle work and drawings with them. She loved to mow the lawn (and did a great job), volunteer with non for profit organizations, and give back to her community.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She accepted Christ at an early age and studied under the teachings of Church of Christ Grandview, Missouri. She truly enjoyed singing hymnals at church every Sunday.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband Arnold Van Dyke and her parents Grace and Carl.
She leaves to cherish her memories her sons Rydel (Brenda) and Tracy Van Dyke; grandchildren Kelley and Allison; sisters Imogen Williams, LaVonna West, Pam (Gary) Slocum, many nieces and nephews and friends.
In memory of Linda, charitable donations can be made to City Union Mission Kansas City, Missouri.
