Lynda was born on February 11, 1956 in Kansas City, Missouri to John Henry Vankirk and Betty Jean (Wilson) Vankirk. She attended Lexington Missouri High School where she was active in the marching band playing the clarinet and flute. After graduation Lynda attended the University of Central Missouri, earning a Master’s Degree in IT and a Minor in Music.
Lynda was a competitive dancer in her younger years and loved square dancing. She worked for AT&T and Sprint in their IT Departments. She was an active member of the Peculiar United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son-in-law James Vail.
Lynda is survived by her daughter Vanessa Jean Vankirk & David Kendall, grandchildren Arabella Jean Vankirk, Corinne Alexis Smith & Lynda Noel Vankirk and her sister Wanda & Denver Creason. She is also survived by nieces JoAnn Bagby and Miranda Creason as well as her great-niece Kylie Elizabeth Burrage and great-nephew J.D. Burrage.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 4th at Peculiar United Methodist Church, 20521 South School Road, Peculiar, Missouri 64078.
