M. David Robinson, (Dave), 86, of Leawood, Kansas went home to his Heavenly Father on June 26, 2020 from complications of pulmonary fibrosis at St. Joseph Medical Center.

Dave was born on November 16, 1933 in Winter Garden, Florida to Madge & Lawson Robinson. He grew up in Bradenton, Florida and graduated from Manatee County High School in 1952. Following graduation, he served in the US Navy for 12 years. He completed business college through the Navy and began a career in the automobile industry.

Dave lived in Dayton, OH, Houston, TX, Charlotte, NC and Kansas City where he met his wife, Carol of 38 years. They married on December 8, 1982 in Kansas City and reside in Leawood, Kansas.

Dave was not only a great husband but a loyal friend, neighbor, confidant, employee and lover of the Lord. Dave had a passion for HIS Kingdom ministries and spreading God’s word.

One of Dave’s favorite scripture passages is Hebrews 13:5b, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

Dave spent his entire professional career in the Automobile industry, specializing in Information Technology & Financial Operations.

Dave enjoyed singing bass in his Southern Gospel Quartet, The Watchmen, traveling, playing golf, home building projects, and giving back to his church and community. Dave is known for his amazing story telling and of course, his unforgettable (corny) jokes.

Dave was involved in the Olathe Rotary and served as President in 2008-09. He was also significantly involved in City Union Mission and World Harvest Ministries.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents, brother, (Howard) and three sisters, (Ruth, Pearl and Sadie).

My dear Carol,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We both know Dave is in a special place in heaven and able to breathe again. We have fond memories of both of you, dating back to the 70's when we first met you as a neighbor in Fairway, KS. Then, along came Dave and we felt like we had known him for years. You have been a "Jewish Mother" to both Sam and Carrie all these years. They thought the world of Dave and still continue to think the world of you. You and Dave have been to every high school graduation, college graduation, medical school graduation and MBA graduation for our children. For this, I thank you and Dave. We will miss Dave, but know he is now with the Lord. May God comfort you. We will come and see you when this Codid 19 passes.
Love, Jeanette and Pat Sterrett
