After high school she worked for Pioneer Bag Company and City National Bank. She then began working for the Bunge Global. She worked there for twenty years.
Margaret loved helping people, especially children. She traveled abroad to help keep children clothed. She did great works at orphanages in the Philippines. She was generous to a fault. Margaret donated regularly to multiple charities and she was adored by anyone around her. She was involved in helping establish the House of Hope in Kansas City. Margaret especially loved taking people out to dinner. She never had a bad word to say about anyone, even if they did something hurtful towards her.
Margaret loved flowers, especially irises and lilies. She was a Chiefs fan. She hardly ever missed a game and would make sure she wore her Red Chiefs Shirt. She loved the Royals too - she was very much a KC sports fan. She truly lived to serve others. Any opportunity she encountered to help other people she would do it without hesitation.
She loved being out and about, whether it was at the grocery store, baseball games, visiting others, or just riding in the car through town and the car wash too 🤣. The weather did not matter to her. She loved ice cream and potatoes, and of course her Coca Cola. She loved hugs. She was a wonderful friend to others, mother, a grandmother to many, and a daughter to her Lord and Savior.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary, husband, Duane, brothers, Charles (Alice), Elva, Kenneth, Orval, and Lester.
She is survived by Kenneth’s wife Juanita, Orval’s wife (Mary), son, Michael (Jana), grandchildren, Joshua and Makayla.
