Dear Jon,  The world has certainly lost a wonderful lady.  How I wish there was something that I could do to ease the pain that you and Pierre must be bearing at this time.  I know she will be missed by many.  How I enjoyed working with her in the 1980s.  I will be praying for you, Wilma Brown

Maria was my mentor back in the early to mid 1980's.  She was truly one of the pioneers for women in the construction industry.  I found her to be honest, straight forward, and extremely knowledgeable. She fractured that glass ceiling in the "boys' club".  I wanted to be just like her.  Thank you Maria for forging that trail for us. I will always remember your spunk and work ethic. May the angels come to greet you as you enter paradise!

Pierre, Know that Jim and I send our heartfelt thoughts and prayers to you and your family.  I only met you mother once but I could tell how much you loved her.  You were amazing to me and my brothers when we lost our mother.  Words cannot express our thoughts.  Love you
