

Marjorie Bernice Mangum, 65, passed away Monday, September 26, 2016 in her home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 1st, at Atonement Lutheran Church, 9948 Metcalf Avenue, Overland Park, KS, with a visitation at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
Marjorie was born September 26, 1951 in Bloomington, IL, to Donald and Mildred Meinhold. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Iowa State University in Home Economics Education. She was a member of the Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority. Marjorie lived in Kansas City and worked as an airline hostess for TWA and later worked for the Dairy Council. She was a long time member of Atonement Lutheran Church.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her father, Donald Meinhold. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, William Mangum, M.D.; four children: Andrew (Kristin) Mangum, M.D., Douglas (Kristin) Mangum and their children, Ella and Chase, Daniel (Aphrodite) Mangum and their children, Eric and David, Katherine (Trevor) Heaney; her mother, Mildred Meinhold; a brother, Don (Janice) Meinhold; and brother Paul (Jana) Meinhold.
