Marjorie Elaine Schmiege, age 81, passed away at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, on Wednesday, February 15, 2012, from pneumonia. Born December 7, 1930, Marjorie was a life-long resident of Kansas City, Missouri. She worked at Flour Mills of America and RB Jones before becoming a stay-at-home mom. Marjorie was an active member of the Center School District PTA holding many positions including President. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Edna (Horstman) Breitag and her sister Eleanor. She is survived by her husband James of the home, sons Michael and Paul of Kansas City, Missouri, daughter-in-law Sunniva of Kansas City, Missouri and grandchildren Elizabeth and Nicholas of Kansas City, Missouri and a sister Dorothy. Visitation will be at Mount Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home on Sunday, February 19 from 2:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 20 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 7500 Oak Street, Kansas City, Missouri.
