Mark was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, where he attended Westport High School. In 1968, the family purchased a farm in Oak Grove, Missouri, where Mark continued his education and graduated from Grain Valley High School.
In 1979, Mark married Debbie Coon, and together they built a loving family. Heather was joyfully adopted into their lives, and Melissa was welcomed into the family later.
Mark had a passion for working on the family farm, where his ingenuity and hard work shone through. A true jack of all trades, he was a talented mechanic, a skilled gunsmith, and an artist at heart. His creativity and craftsmanship left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Inez L. Johnson (Kackley) and Dr. Orval F. Johnson. Mark’s legacy lives on through his cherished sister, Anita F. Costanza (John); his loving daughters, Heather and Melissa; and his adored grandchildren, Nathaniel Robinson and Ava Marie Johnson.
Mark’s kindness, resilience, and love for his family will forever be remembered and deeply missed. His memory will continue to inspire those who knew him.
A celebration of Mark’s life will be held at DW Newcomers Floral Hills Funeral Home in Raytown, Missouri, where family and friends are invited to honor his remarkable journey and share their memories.
