

Mark was born on July 8, 1959, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Carl and Julie Oliver. He grew up in Raytown, Missouri, and graduated from Raytown High School, Class of 1977.
Mark dedicated 25 years to working in the family-owned grocery store, a place that reflected his strong work ethic and commitment to community. He later continued his career at Pizza Blends in Kansas City, Missouri.
In addition to being passionate bowler, Mark found joy in camping and weekend getaways to the lake—simple pleasures that brought him peace and connection.
After suffering a stroke, Mark became a long-term resident of the Rehabilitation Center of Independence, where he spent the last 15 years of his life. Despite the challenges he faced, Mark’s humor, resilience, and unwavering strength of character left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Virginia Oliver, mother Julie Long, brother Jeff Rovenstine.
He is survived by his daughter Jessica Oliver-Hammack (Jaimy) and son Mark Oliver II, close friend Teresa Oliver and sister Shelley Lutgen (Mark). He also leaves behind his four grandchildren, Dominic, Savannah, Tripp, and Scarlett who brought him great joy.
His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and Mark will be deeply missed by all that knew him. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Marks name to the American Stroke Association.
A visitation will be held on November 22, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Floral Hills Funeral Home and Cemetery, located at 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64133.
A memorial service will follow on November 22, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the same location.
A graveside service is scheduled for November 22, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm at Floral Hills Cemetery, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64133.
