Marla K. Temaat, cherished mother, grandmother, and friend to many, passed from this world peacefully on October 30, 2025, at the age of 87. Born in Garden City, Kansas on September 30, 1938 to Dugan and Wilma O’Halloran, she will be remembered for her love of children and her servant’s heart. She participated in a number of volunteer groups with St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church and her community. Marla touched many families through her work with ironing, babysitting, and volunteer work - being in community with others brought her great joy. She loved her children and grandchildren deeply and treasured her time with them.
She was preceded in death by both parents, and her sister, Jeannie. She is survived by her three children, Linda (Rick), Jeff (Patty), and Kathy (Rob). She is survived by eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family would like to thank the staff at Linden Woods for providing our mother with loving care, kindness and compassion for the last nine years. We would also like to express our appreciation to the caregivers at Ascend Hospice.
Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 1st at St. Gabriel Archangel Catholic Church, located at 4737 N. Cleveland Ave., Kansas City, MO. Rosary will be prayed prior to Mass. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday also at St Gabriel Archangel Catholic Church. A Committal Service will follow in White Chapel Cemetery, 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO.
