Martin Garcia of Kansas City, MO passed away peacefully on January 4, 2017. Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Monday, January 9th at St Gabriel Church, 4737 N. Cleveland, KCMO, 64117. Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. Military burial services will take place at the Resurrection Cemetery, (North), 5001 NE Cookingham Dr, Kansas City, MO 64156.
Martin is survived by his loving wife Angelina. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alejandro and Ramona Garcia, his sister Velia Sanchez and brother Alfred J. Garcia. Other survivors include his brother, Frank Garcia of Lee’s Summit, MO, and a host of many loved relatives and close friends.
Martin was an Army veteran of WWII and retired from the Army Corp of Engineers. He will be remembered with great affection for his devotion to his family, generosity and his enthusiasm for life. He was an avid sports fan for the KC Royals and KC Chiefs. Memorial contributions can be made to the church and the Arthritis Foundation in lieu of flowers.
