A Memorial Gathering is scheduled from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Monday, January 23rd, with a Sharing of Memories at 2:00 PM, at the McGilley Antioch Chapel.
Marty was born April 8, 1957 to Arthur Edward and Hazel Frances Parker in Cedar Rapids, IA. He grew up in Northeast Kansas City and graduated from Northeast High School. Marty attended the University of Kansas City and was a graduate of Rockhurst University. He was employed as a quality engineer for May Technology and Manufacturing in Kansas City. Marty was a big time gun enthusiast and his Austin- Healey car but his greatest passion in life was his family. He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife Christina of 34 years; three children, Courtney Hinsley, Samuel Parker and Maxwell Parker and wife, Kelsey; a granddaughter, Alexandra Parker; his mother, Hazel Parker; a sister, Diana Simmons; and nieces and nephews; and his cousin and best friend, Roger Thorpe; all of whom he loved very much.
