Mary Ann "Toots" Creech

Mary “Toots” Creech, 85, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Cross Creek Memory Care in Lee’s Summit, MO. Toots was born to John and Josephine Bojanski on April 12, 1940. She was one of ten children.

Toots married the love of her life, Ken Creech, on February 11, 1961. They were married for 59 years. Together they raised two daughters. Toots loved being around her family, listening to Polish music and having a cold beer to drink.

Toots was a stay-at-home mom for 18 years and then worked for the Kansas City Police Department for 22 years. She loved her job as a secretary in the homicide unit.

Toots is survived by her daughters Diane (Don) Day and Jennifer (Kevin) Magee; four grandchildren Matthew (Brianne) Day, Sean Day and his fiancée Emily, Alyssa (Scott) Bredvold, and Cory Kurzweil; three great grandchildren Lyle and Landon Day, and Luke Bredvold. She is also survived by her sisters Louise Kaipus, Patsy (Wayne) Dorough; brother BoBo (Peggy) Bojanski; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ken Creech; brothers Rich, Donnie, Lanny, Ed and Jerry Bojanski; and sister Rita Pivonka.

We would like to give a special thanks to Cross Creek Memory Care. They became family to us. They loved Toots like she was their mom. We will be forever grateful to them. We would also like to thank Ascend Hospice for taking care of Mom. They were amazing.

Visitation and Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 28 at Coronation of Our Lady Catholic Church, 13000 Bennington Ave., Grandview, MO 64030. Visitation from 10:00-11:00 am, Mass at 11:00 am. Burial will be immediately after Mass in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, MO 64138.
