Mary Christine (Franklin) Beets, 60, Grandview, MO, passed away June 5, 2011 at home. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. followed by funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 10, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd. Interment in Mt. Moriah Cemetery South. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 1001 E. 101st Terrace, Suite 180, Kansas City, MO 64131. Chris was born November 15, 1950 in Kansas City, MO. She was a 1968 graduate of Center High School. She had worked from 1968-1975 for Bendix Corp. as secretary in engineering. She had also worked as a legal secretary primarily for Ted Beckett from 1979-2010. She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Mila Franklin and her brother Michael A. Franklin. She is survived by her husband of nearly 40 years, Max V. Beets; son Jeffrey Beets of Leawood, KS; daughter Leslie Beets of Raymore, MO; and grandson Gabe of Raymore. She is also survived by her brothers John and Mark Franklin of Kansas City, MO and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
