Mary Lou Bollinger, 85, of Leawood, KS died February 16, 2016. Visitation will be at McGilley State Line Chapel from 12:30 to 1:30 pm Friday, February 19, 2016 with a Rosary prayed at 1:15 pm, followed by graveside services at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the Great Plains SPCA, 5428 Antioch Dr., Merriam, KS 66202 or the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Ave., TX 75231. Mary McClure was born April 12, 1930, in Kansas City, MO. She married the love of her life, John Patrick Bollinger (Pat) on August 6, 1949. He preceded her in death in 1990. She was also preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Wolfe. Mary worked as an optician for a number of years for Gerry Optical and State Line Optical. In her retirement, she lived for baseball season so that she could cheer on the Royals. She is survived by her son, Bob, and wife, Linda Bollinger, Blue Eye, MO; grandsons, Nick Bollinger, Ottawa, KS, and Brian, and wife, Jennifer, Paola, KS; and 5 great grandchildren.
