Mary M. “Peggy” Coleman, 66, Kansas City, Missouri, passed away November 15, 2013. Visitation will be from 12:00 -1:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 23, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri.
Peggy graduated from Center High School in 1965. She was a preschool teacher at Leawood Baptist Church for over 25 years, an active member of P.E.O. and a member of Holmeswood Baptist Church. She was an avid Chiefs and KU basketball fan. Peggy’s life revolved around the caretaking of children and others, and her love for her family.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Louise Coleman. She is survived by three brothers, David (Sharon) Coleman, Leawood, Kansas; Donald (Sharon) Coleman, Kansas City, Missouri; Gary (Mary) Coleman, Westwood, Kansas; three nieces, Cari (Brad) Cure, Melissa (Bobby) Bagley, and Christina (Ryan) Wilkerson; three nephews, Daniel (Amy) Coleman, Michael (Angie) Coleman, Paul Coleman; and ten great-nieces and nephews.
