Mary Lou Davis passed away December 13, 2010 at Kingswood Manor. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 17, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mary Lou was born in Kansas City, Missouri, daughter of O.W. and Mary (Shaw) Thrasher. She had worked for the IRS retiring, after 30 years, as a tax examiner instructor. Mom’s favorite times were spent with her husband Booger, her children, grandson and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles O. Davis Jr. and only grandchild Mark Warren, Jr. She is survived by twin sister Eleanor Alkire, son Mark Warren, Sr. and wife Charlotte, daughter Melody S. Warren and grand-dog Shamus, stepdaughter Jill Smith and spouse, stepson Bill Davis and spouse, sisters Dolores Hensley and Theresa Dennison and spouse, and brothers Junior, Joseph and Patrick Thrasher and spouses. The family would like to thank the staff at Kingswood Manor for their wonderful care, and special thank you to her caregivers Bison and Vanessa.
