Mary Ann Eileen Geha, age 94, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2026. She was born in Flint, Michigan, to John Ludwig Harmsen and Eileen Duffy Harmsen.
A devoted Catholic, Mary Ann’s faith guided every part of her life. She first attended the University of Colorado, where she studied art and developed a lifelong love of creativity and design. She later graduated from the Creighton Memorial St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing, uniting her artistic gifts with a calling to care for others. It was while working at St. Joseph’s Hospital that she met the love of her life, Braham Geha, with whom she shared 65 wonderful years of marriage.
Mary Ann had a special talent for art and design, expressed through beautiful needlepoint and creative home and garden projects. She was also an excellent cook who delighted in bringing people together around the table, where meals were shared with stories, laughter, and love.
In keeping with her lifelong commitment to service, Mary Ann generously volunteered at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Rockhurst High School, Notre Dame de Sion, and Ladies of Charity. She was always finding ways to raise money and support these organizations, never missing an opportunity to help and uplift others.
Above all, Mary Ann will be remembered for her deep faith, gentle spirit, and generous heart. She lived a life of service, always placing the needs of those she loved before her own.
She is survived by her loving children: Christopher (Rebecca), Deborah Murphy (Daniel), Catherine Sullivan (John), and Daniel (Suzanne); along with 17 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren, who were the pride and joy of her life.
Mary Ann’s family takes comfort in knowing she is now at peace, reunited with her beloved husband, Braham, and her dear sister, Becky, resting in the loving arms of her Lord. Her legacy of faith, compassion, and creativity will live on in all who knew and loved her.
The family is deeply grateful for the compassionate and loving care provided by the caregivers at The Healthcare Resort of Leawood.
