

She was born in Kansas City, Missouri to John Watson and Marjorie Dorothy (Roberts) Tomlin. She graduated from East High School and enjoyed participating in Job’s Daughters, (a professional organization for young women that teaches the values of leadership, public speaking, charity, respect for parents and elders, and teamwork). She was crowned the Job’s Daughters and Demolay Queen. Mary Grace worked at a law firm in downtown Kansas City, Missouri and The Bendix Corporation (Honeywell) as an Executive Secretary where she retired. Mary Grace enjoyed her close friends that named themselves, “The Lunch Bunch”.
She was beautiful inside and out. Mary Grace was known for the compassion she displayed to others, her dedication to her family and friends. She had the ability to light up a room, make others laugh and smile. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, and brother, Dean Tomlin.
Mary Grace is survived by her daughter, Melanie Ann Haas (David), and her only granddaughter, Mary Grace (Gracie) Haas, her sister-in-law Peggy Tomlin and nephews John Tomlin (Sara), and Michael Tomlin (Becky). Siblings, John R. Tomlin, Jerry Sone (Carolyn), Dennis Tomlin (Janice), and many nieces and nephews. Mary Grace will be deeply missed. She was God’s gift to this earth.
Per her wishes, a graveside service will be held on Friday, June 30th at 12:00pm at Floral Hills in Kansas City, Missouri. The family requests prayers for Mary Grace.”
