She was born August 16, 1953, in Washington D.C. to Ward and Dorothy Cory. She was one of seven children. Her father’s job as a career military officer, stationed in Hawaii and Germany, gave the family the opportunity to travel throughout the US.
Melanie was admired by everyone she met and never said an unkind word about anyone.
Melanie is survived by sister (Cynthia Cory Roy (Jeffery), El Segundo, CA, brother Stuart Cory (Teena), Belton, MO, and sister Susan Cory Poskin (Gregory), Kansas City, MO.
