Michael "Mike" Dolan

Mike was a beloved partner, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend whose kindness, humor, and generous heart touched everyone who knew him. He lived his life surrounded by laughter, meaningful connections, and the people he loved most, leaving behind countless memories that will forever be cherished.

Mike is survived by his partner, Sharon Burns; Sister Kathy Dolan, his children Evan Dolan (Ashley Dolan), Keri Proulx (Shawn Proulx), Keith Burns (Kelly Burns), and Ashley Ebner; and his treasured grandchildren Emily, Victoria, Cameron, Ali, Charlie, Ford, and Kit. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Noah and Cooper, who brought him immense joy.

Known for his funny and kind personality, Mike had a way of making people smile and feel at ease. One of his greatest passions was his love for the guitar, which brought him peace and joy throughout his life and was a meaningful part of who he was.

More than anything, Mike loved people. He spent much of his time with friends and family, building strong bonds and lifelong friendships. He had a special gift for making everyone feel welcome and deeply loved. Even if you weren’t related by blood, Mike made sure you knew you were family. He proudly embraced people as his own — as sons, daughters, and grandchildren — and made them feel truly seen, valued, and cared for.

Mike’s warmth, laughter, and unwavering love will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched and the love he gave so freely. Those who knew him will forever carry his spirit in their hearts.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday March 7th, 2026, from 3:00pm - 6:00pm at V's Italiano restaurant located at 10819 E US-40 HYW Independence, Missouri 64055. A private family inurnment at Floral Hills Cemetery will be scheduled at a later date.
