

Mickey Butler passed away on February 24, 2026, at the age of 74. He was born on June 25, 1951, in Carrollton, MO to Zeline "Tippy" and Martha (Cunningham) Butler and was the youngest of their 13 children.
Mickey graduated from Carrollton High School. After high school he began his career working for 18 years at Kraft Foods and Rose Acre Farms in Marshall, MO. In between that time, he also managed to open and run two different liquor stores in Carrollton called "Butler Package".
Mickey loved hunting and fishing with his sons, brothers, and nephews. He enjoyed traveling the country with his family to see the National Landmarks and teach his sons about their history. The Grand Canyon being one of their favorites. Along the way they'd listen to music and share family stories. Growing up and even as an adult he loved watching John Wayne and Randolph Scott westerns. He loved music as well as movies. Growing up listening to the music of his generation like the Beach Boys and Elvis Presley being among his favorites. He was a huge Elvis Presley fan, even dancing to his music just a week ago. Mickey was also an avid sports fan; always rooting for his home teams. He was so happy to see the Kansas City Royals and the Kansas City Chiefs win one more championship in his lifetime.
Mickey was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: Doris, Mary, Charlotte, Dale, Glenn, Hugh "Butch", Derald, Roger, Carol, Bill and Paula. He is survived by his brother, Russell; his sons, Andrew (Jennifer) Butler and Anthony (Sandy) Butler; his grandchildren, Austin, Jenna, Addie, Rayne, Ethan, Mason, Jacob and Aubrey and many nieces and nephews.
