I remember your beautiful laugh and Nancy that Christmas it was such a joy having all the people at my table on the holidays. Now the boys are growing up and everybody has moved on to heaven. It's just me and my wife  and boys when they come home for Christmas now, it's not what it used to be. I miss your beautiful smile and your nice laugh. You will be missed on this earth Maurice Michaelanthony VAN ALST. 

I will miss you so much my friend I was wondering why I haven't heard from you in so long. We had some really beautiful holidays together. Morris was married to my cousin Patricia at the time of her death. I was alot younger than them. But have fond memories of Morris. I lived just down the street from them on 10th in KC. He always had a kind word for me. I remember my dad Tony,Pats uncle always saying what a good man he is. I truly regret just finding out about his death. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Morris was my cousin and was truly one of the sweetest men to ever walk on this earth. When my husband met him for the first time, he said he had never met a more genuinely happy person. Always a huge smile and laugh that lit up his entire face. Always a Christian, always doing for others. Morris, you are truly one of the greats and this earth is a sadder place without you in it. I pray you are dancing with the angels even as I write this. I’m sure you have them all bowled over with laughter already. Heaven gained another angel!! 

Morris  was my cousin,  he always had a smile that nobody could erase. And when he smiled his whole face smiled. He always had a big hug for me everytime i came in where he was at. Even if he was tellin of a story, as he told it, his eyes grew bigger and bigger with excitement and you could not help but feel it too. He was such a sweet man that was concerned about everyone other than himself.  He never said a word if he wasnt feelin good. Morris, this world will not be the same without you bouncin around.  We love and miss you. Love Johnny, Trisha,  and the kids.

Your a beautiful soul who taught about strength truth and compassion I will always cherish you.

Morris was the most inspiring person I even gotten to know. In the most toughest times he would always offer a helping hand. I always remember his bright smile and his warm heart. He was more the my father in law but a man of honor and God. My finest memories are with him on Sundays. Where he would come over after church and have coffee with vickie and I
 You will truly be loved and missed 


Heaven gained the most selfless person I’ve ever known. It takes someone very special to take on the roll of Dad to someone’s else’s children and you did so with no questions asked, never once treating us any different than your own flesh and blood. You’ve been one of the most amazing fathers, teaching me everything I know from learning to tie my shoe and how to do a perfect dive to working on cars and anything mechanical. I will forever cherish our long talks and your life lessons and will forever miss your infectious laugh. Thank you for allowing me the privilege to call you Dad for 40 years. 

Uncle Morris lived his whole life smiling through the loss of two wives and not only taking care of his mother but taking care of his wives mother after she passed on . He lit up the room and made everyone smile . He genuinely cared about everyone else before himself . He served in the food kitchens for the poor for years and made even them smile . He served his country , he served god and always served others . Uncle Morris was not only handsome but he was extremely humble throughout his life and he is a bright shining star forever in our hearts and memories . We love you so much ❤️

uncle Morris  was my favorite  uncle and a man we knew we you could allways count on to pray with you and lift your spirits  He made it to Nebraska  and  meet my first grandson and help me thought lots of medical  issues  through  prayers there will never be another man like him in this world we were all luck to have him in our family
