Morris R Miller

Morris Reed Miller, 70, Kansas City North passed away January 8, 2013 at his home. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 12th at the McGilley Antioch Chapel where a visitation will begin at 1:00 PM; burial will follow the service in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Morris’s family will appreciate contributions to Kendallwood Hospice.

Morris was born May 15, 1942 in Kansas City, MO to Frank and Maurine (Reed) Miller. He worked for more than 25 years in the banking industry before retiring from Bank of America. In addition to his parents Morris was preceded in death by his sisters, Barbara and Frances and long-time companion Leo Leuty.

Morris leaves behind his nieces Barbara Ann Wagner of the home and Diana Wooten, Memphis, TN; nephews, Stephen Mefford, Sr and Michael Mefford, Cheyenne, WY; as well as 4 great nieces and 3 great nephews; 3 great great nieces and 5 great great nephews; additional survivors include 2 “Leuty” nieces, Linda Shurtz and Pam Beal, Kinmundy, IL; and a sister –in-law, Virginia Leuty, Vandalia, IL; and a host of great great nieces and nephews who have loved and referred to him as “Uncle Morris” all their lives.
