Dee met her husband Neil in Washington D.C. where her father was serving as a pastor. Neil was in D.C. because he was serving in the military. She received her associates degree at Mercer and Nazarene college so she could become an LPN. Neil and Dee lived in the Kansas City area, mostly in Overland Park. They had a brief retirement stay in California and then returned to Kansas City.
Dee had many talents. She was known for her intricate needlepoint, crochet and other hand crafts. Dee was also an accomplished singer. She was a highly sought after church soloist and choir member. She occasionally performed in community theater. Dee attended Willow Creek Evangelical Friends Church (Quaker). She was also a member of DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) and Alpha Delta Pi sorority.
Dee was preceded in death by her husband Neil R Fraser, sister, Georgia Phelts, great grandchild, Jack Floyd.
Survivors include children, Anne Fraser (Terry Mendenhall), Lynn Scott (Regan), Connie Reid, and Rolland Neil Fraser (Sharon), eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
