Orville “Orv” Ralph Steppe born November 16, 1959 and passed away on Sunday April 4, 2021 in Kansas City, Missouri. Mr. Steppe was adopted and moved from the Hunnewell, Missouri area to Rushville, Missouri and lived at Lewis and Clark State Park. After graduating from Dekalb High School, he attended Missouri Western State College obtaining an Automotive Technology Degree. He moved later to Platte City, Missouri and worked for All-Pro Pest Control. After his daughters graduated, he returned to Rushville to live in his childhood home until 2011 when the home was destroyed by the flood. Wanting to stay in the area, Orville resided in Atchison, Kansas until his cancer diagnosis in May 2020. He enjoyed the outdoors, sports, cars, steaks and spending time with family and friends. He was a loving father, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his daughters Carrie and Mandy, sons-in-law Richard and Mario, four grandchildren and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Marjorie and many aunts and uncles. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
