Patricia Ann (Willits) Prouty, age 85 of Raymore, MO, passed away November 5, 2019 at Foxwood Springs in Raymore. She was born on March 7, 1934 to Louis and Gertrude (Dugger) Willits in Kansas City, Missouri.
She graduated from Paseo High School in 1952 and was the secretary to the principal of Ruskin High School from 1970 to 1980. She attended Longview Community College in 1980 where she received an Associates Degree. She was employed by Merrill Lynch as secretary and retired in 2000. She was a member of Red Bridge United Methodist Church (1998), and the church group The Dorcas Circle. She worked with the church youth, and taught a knitting class. She knitted over 1200 hats for under privileged children. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W. Post 1829 of Kansas City. She enjoyed babysitting and was known as "Miss Pat" to the young ones. She loved to travel, including visiting Ireland several times, and taking various bus trips around the country. She enjoyed and lived life to the fullest.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Brother: Norman Willits, Sister: Wanda Louise (Husband: Robert) Jones, Son: David Louis Prouty, two Nephews: Gregg and Gary Jones. She is survived by: Sons: Larry (Wife: Brenda) Prouty and John (Wife: Phyllis) Prouty, Daughter: Diana (Husband: Philip) Lawson. Four Grandchildren, Ten Great Grandchildren and Niece: Kim Hill.
