Paul Royce Lee

Born on November 9, 1934, in Topeka, Kansas, to Kenneth E. Lee and Nelle M. (Cook) Lee. Paul spent over three decades with IBM, where he trained employees, installed new systems, and supported clients as a computer systems analyst. He also worked for the IRS from 2001 to 2008 so he could fund a mission trip to Poland during the summer. Paul served in the Army National Guard in Topeka, Kansas as a Military Policeman from 1953 to 1959, and obtained the rank of Sergeant First Class.

Paul enjoyed reading, and he also enjoyed singing with the Kansas City Metro Men's Chorus as one of the founding members since 2001. He served as a bell ringer and singer with St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Overland Park, Kansas. He served as a Mason and also was a part of the American Legion Post 370.

Paul was married to his loving wife of 30 years. He enjoyed travelling across the states, and also going on several cruises. He also enjoyed travelling to Washburn University, where he earned a business and math degree, for several alumni events and contributed annually. He also earned a Master's degree in Computer Science from Florida Atlantic University. Paul and Peggy loved to travel in their motorhome with their grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Lawrence (Larry) Cook Lee, and his step-granddaughter, Jill Pfeifer.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Jean (Ogan) Lee, his daughters, Pamela Jo Gieseke-Becker and her daughter, Katherine Gieseke, and Deborah Greusel, and her daughters, Emily Cheng and Lizzie Signore, and her son, Davis Greusel. Additionally, Paul is survived by five great-grandchildren, a step-daughter, Kristi Pfeifer Divine, and step-grandchildren, Jacob Michael Divine (Hailey) and Jeana Marie Divine.

A memorial service to honor Paul’s life will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 1:00 PM at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 6422 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, Kansas 66202.
