

Paul was born in Barnett, Missouri, and graduated from Eldon High School in 1949. He served the next four years in the United States Navy. He married Sharon Frye in 1956.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Sharon, his sons Jeff Taylor and wife Stephanie. Michael Taylor and wife Janet, 6 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by three brothers and one sister.
Paul was a long-haul semi truck driver for many years, retiring from Overnite in 1996 with a million miles record. He was a master at driving a set of double trailers, and he won the regional doubles driving championship in the state of Kansas.
Paul was an avid horseshoe pitcher. He enjoyed the competition and pitched in many tournaments from local to state and world competitions, winning many awards along the way.
Paul loved his family and was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be sadly missed by family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on April 30, visitation 10-11am, service at 11am-12pm at Crown Pointe Church, 5950 NE Lakewood Way, Lee's Summit, MO 64064. A light lunch will be provided to all following the service.
