Rene Cangelosi

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Saturday, August 13th, at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her Mom. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Friday at the McGilley Antioch Chapel where a rosary will be prayed at 7:30 PM.

Rene was born December 12, 1959 to John Robert (Jack) Passler and Mary (Cangelosi) Passler in Kansas City MO. She attended St John the Baptist Catholic School and was a graduate of St. Pius X High School. Rene had previously worked for Jackson County Court House, Scimeca’s Supermarket, and was currently employed by the Kansas City MO Water Dept. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family, most importantly her grandson, Gabriel. She was loved by many and a favorite of her cousins. Rene was preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister, Marie Elena Passler; and many aunts and uncles.

Survivors include two sons, Gabriel Gutierrez and Andres Gutierrez; grandson, Gabriel Luciano Gutierrez; two sisters, Lisa Rodriguez and Ann Marie Hernandez; nieces and nephews, Alesia Rene Fernandez, Mark Anthony Hernandez, II, Andrea Marie Hernandez, and (God child) Alexandria Victoria Rodriguez; close cousin, Chris “Chee Chee” Batton; two aunts, maternal aunt Lena Cangelosi and paternal aunt, Janie Romey; and many cousins.
