Richard Lee “Dick” Hulse, age 86, of Independence, MO, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 23, 2021. He was born January 14, 1935 to Floyd and Lena Hulse in Independence, MO. He graduated from William Chrisman High School, Class of 1953, then went into automotive repair work. He also worked as an Insurance Adjuster for GAB, AIG, and Craig Services. He retired in 1999, where he enjoyed dancing, traveling and photography. He married in 1965 to Beverly Jean (McCarty) Hulse.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Lena Hulse; his brother, Floyd Gary Hulse; his wife, Beverly Jean McCarty; and his dog, Red.
He is survived by his son, James Allen (Rebecca) Hulse; his sister, Nancy (Mike) Martin; and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 25 from 6-8pm at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO. A graveside service will be held at 10am on Saturday, March 26 at Floral Hills Cemetery, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO.
