Richard “Bud” Mather Jensen, 88, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away June 9, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, at Mt. Moriah and Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Richard was born July 17, 1923 to Carl C. Jensen and Ella Mae Jensen in Rochester, Minnesota. He married Marjorie Louise Purdy on September 25, 1943. Richard worked at Rearwin Aircraft in Kansas City until the end of World War II. Afterwards, he worked as a cabinet maker and superintendent for Stulz Manufacturing Company in Kansas City. Richard is survived by his wife Marjorie Jensen; son Richard S. Jensen; daughter Bonita M. and her husband Gary McLaughlin; son Ronald C. and wife Judy Jensen; daughter Jacqueline and husband Grant M. Claycomb. He is also survived by his twelve grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, brothers Robert Jensen and Donald Jensen, extended family and friends.
