Richard Anthony Shoemaker was born in Kansas City Missouri on June 30th 1955 to James Shoemaker and Betty (Hamby) Shoemaker. He grew up in Kansas City Missouri. He was a graduate of East High School. He worked for Kansas City School District for 30 plus years. He started off as a janitor and then moved to a heavy equipment operator which he retired from.
Richard loved hunting and fishing. Anytime he could get out and fish he was always eager to go. It didn't matter if you sat out all day and didn't get a bite he just loved being out there. Richard's other passion was his two grandsons Austin and Jaxson Grozier. He lived to see those boys and do whatever he could to make them happy. He enjoyed going to watch Austin play baseball during the summer.
Those boys were the light of his life and meant the world to him!
