Robert C. Cody, 91, of Independence, MO, passed away November 25, 2014, at his home in Independence. Funeral service will be 10am, Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at Floral Hills. Interment will follow. Family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Cody was a veteran of WWII. He served in the South Pacific with the Army Air Force. He was a lifelong carpenter and holds a life time membership to the Carpenters Union Local 1329 since 1945. He is also a member of the Sugar Creek Eagles 3712. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50+ years, Lorene. Cody is survived by his daughters: Linda Robb, of Blue Springs, MO, and Barbara Wilson, of Las Vegas, NV; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
