

Robert “Bob” Cunningham at the age of 87 passed from this world and into the arms of Jesus. He stepped into His presence on Monday, April 11, 2022. Bob was born on Aug. 23rd, 1934 in Marshall, Missouri to Robert and Edith Cunningham who preceded him in death.
After 3 years of dating, he married his teen sweetheart Anita White that he met when he was 16. They enjoyed 67 years of inseparable marriage and Anita proceeded him in death by 9 months. They lived in the Kansas City area for most of their lives until they retired and moved to the Lake of the Ozarks where they lived for more than 30 years. Bob retired from Genral Motors after working there for 32 years. Even of greater importance to him than his love for his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren was his love and lifelong devotion to God and his loyal service to His kingdom and His body. He faithfully served and loved his family, friends and within the church and will now stand before God and hear those glorious words “well done, good and faithful servant”. Bob attended church at Evangel Temple, Grandview Assembly of God and the Camp Chapel and was a faithful and loyal example to his children and all who knew him.
He led worship for most of his life and taught an adult bible class for many years. He loved to fish and supplied many of his friends with the crappie he caught. He loved candy canes, cherry slices and his funny fake teeth. He was an amazing storyteller and had the most corny jokes.
Bob had 1 brother, Donald Cunningham who proceeded him in death. He raised 3 sons (David, Steve, Mark) and a beloved daughter (Michelle). He had 3 daughter in laws, Connie, Karen and Linda and one son in law John Privett, He also had 7 grandchildren, Kara Russo, Jamie Cunningham (Mother:Dolly Markins), Heather Stennett, Jonathan Cunningham, Greg Privett and Weston and Austin Cunningham. He also had 5 great grandchildren, Braxton and Adelaide Stennett, Landon Cunningham, Leo and Ella Cunningham.
There will be time of visitation at Newcomers Floral Hills located at 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, Mo. at 1:00 PM, Sat. April 16th and a celebration of life and graveside gathering immediately after visitation beginning at 2:00 PM.
