Robert Gene Robbins

Robert G. Robbins, 87, Raymore, Missouri passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Visitation will be from 10:30-11:00am followed by funeral service at 11:00am Wednesday, March 8, at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman, 10507 Holmes Road. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.

Robert “Bob” was born March 22, 1929 in Kansas City, Missouri, son of William G. and Mary M. (Donaldson) Robbins. He married Billie (Beasley) Daniel on January 26, 1973; they were married for 44 years. Bob had worked in the Automotive Theft division for the Kansas City Police Department for 14 years, and then as an insurance adjuster for Commercial Union for 20 years. He loved watching and listening to the Kansas City Royals and Kansas City Chiefs games.

He leaves his wife, Billie Robbins, of Raymore, Missouri; stepdaughters Denna Myers, Holden, Missouri and Cindy Fuller and husband George of Englewood, Florida; stepgrandsons Michael Daniel and wife Sherry, Pleasant Hill, Missouri and Scott Corwin, Englewood, Florida; six great-stepgrandchildren and three great-great-granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Clifford Robbins, sister-in-law Betty Robbins, and stepgrandson Stephen Corwin.

Bob was a kind, gentle, caring person who always thought of others before himself and he will be greatly missed.
