

Robert H. Rudolph, 90 good years, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, passed away January 24th, 2015 at the VA Hospital in Kansas City, MO. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 28, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road. Graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. at the Holton Cemetery in Holton, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart of America Chapter Ex POW.
Rudy was born December 7, 1924, son of Rolland and Florence (Martin) Rudolph, in Kansas City, Missouri where he lived his life except for the time he proudly served his country in the US Army during World War II. While being assigned to the 45th Infantry Division (Italy) as a machine gunner he was decorated with Bronze Star, Purple Heart, and POW medals.
After returning from duty he met his first wife, Lois and raised four children together. Rudy loved his family and cherished their time together. While raising a family he worked in the glass industry for approximately 38 years. He started My Glass Service and worked with his two sons until retiring. In later life after Rudy was widowed, he married Peggy Burlingame and they enjoyed 21 years together.
Rudy loved the outdoors, yard-work, fishing and hunting. He was also preceded in death by his son Bill Rudolph. Rudy is survived by his wife Peggy; daughters Cindy Harris (Dennis) and Trisha Rusnak (John); son Mike (Cindy); daughter-in-law Margaret Rudolph Arnold; fourteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
